The Abbey House Hotel is set in 14 acres of private gardens and was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, widely recognised as one of the greatest British architects. It takes its name from Furness Abbey, situated next to the hotel.
The hotel offers 57 rooms, some of which boast four-poster beds. Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant, bar, conference rooms and suites.

What a terrific building and lovely grounds, I was very pleased with our choice of this hotel. The room was spotless and very well appointed and the bed linen crisp and fresh the way I like it. The food was also excellent and service was reasonable considering the number of people.
We stayed in the new bit and were very happy with our stay. The room was spacious and bright and contained everything we needed. We had breakfast here twice and one evening meal and both the service and the quality were excellent on each occasion.
