Situated in the heart of picturesque Barbon, a small village 3 miles north of Kirkby Lonsdale, this 17th century inn makes a good base for exploring Kendal, the Lune Valley, and the Forest of Bowland.
While the Barbon Inn enjoys a good reputation for home-cooked food, real ale, it also boasts 10 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom, TV, and tea/coffee making facilities.
Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club is just a couple of minutes drive from the inn.

This is a lovely little inn which is full of character. They do great food and if you like your real ale you’ve come to the right spot. The room was immaculately clean and the staff were very friendly, helpful and informative.
This is a perfect starting point to explore either the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District. The hotel looked a little tired in places, however the room was serviced daily and the bedding was nice and clean. We also got quite a decent rate which helped.
