The Great John Street Hotel is one of Manchester’s newest hotels and was once a Victorian school.
This unique city centre hotel offers 30 individually designed duplex suites that offer beds with hand-sprung mattresses, free-standing baths, satellite TVs, CD players, direct dial telephones, broadband internet access, working desks and guest bars.
The hotel also boasts a plush rooftop bar that offers great views of the city, including the Coronation Street set.
The Great John Street Hotel is located in Castlefield, close to the Museum of Science and Industry.

As a big Corrie fan I couldn’t wait to get here as the hotel overlooks the set. The room was also amazing and the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Probably a one off for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
Not the cheapest, but certainly an unforgettable experience if you fancy a bit of a treat.
This is certainly one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. The room was spacious and stylish and contained every conceivable modern convenience. My favourite activity though was going up to the rooftop bar and watching the world go by down below.
If you are thinking of treating yourself this place should definitely be high on your agenda. The rooms are huge and beautifully appointed and the staff are extremely well trained, polite and professional. There are great views of Manchester from the rooftop bar as well. Recommended.
Corrie fans could kill two birds with one stone by staying here as some of the rooms overlook Coronation Street! The hotel itself is magnificent and everyone should treat themselves once in a while to a little bit of luxury. Great room, great staff and a wonderful experience.
Great location, and even better room, would definitely stay here again. Rooftop bar and hot tub is a nice touch. All you want is on the doorstep and the service was absolutely first rate.
This area is lovely and has everything you could possibly want at your fingertips in terms of eating, drinking, and sightseeing. Not the cheapest, but still worth every penny. Great staff!
