The Express by Holiday Inn is a good choice for travellers seeking budget hotel accommodation close to Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Less than 1 mile from the airport, it offers 100 rooms, each with en-suite bathroom and satellite TV. Twin, double, and family (2 adults and 2 children) rooms are available.
Hotel amenities include a large car park and wireless internet access.
Bit of a squeeze, but you can get four in a room. The shuttle service to the airport was a bit hit and miss as well. That said, the room was clean and comfortable and if you’ve an early morning flight as we had, it’s probably as good as anywhere else especially for the money.
This hotel worked out well for us. We were doing the same as a lot of people, sleeping here then catching a flight the next morning. The room was ok, and there was a sofa bed for the kids, so we got four in the room. One thing you’ll need to remember however, is that the hotel does not provide hot food in the evening.
Clean, functional, and affordable accommodation on the way to somewhere else. Probably wouldn’t stay here for a weekend break, but it suited us and the check-in was 24 hours, which might prove useful for some people. There is also a shuttle service to the airport.

Great for the airport and what we found particularly good was that they have family rooms, ideal if there’s 3 or 4 of you going on holiday. The room was adequate and more or less what we expected, just somewhere to get our heads down for the night.
