Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel was built in 1897 as a summer holiday home for a wealthy mill owner and, prior to it becoming hotel in 1978, was once owned by Beatrix Potter.
It is set in private gardens and located about 1 mile south of Bowness. All bedrooms are en-suite facilities and include colour TVs, radios, direct dial telephones, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryers.
Leisure facilities include a heated indoor pool, sauna, solarium and fitness room. A CCTV link from the pool to the bedroom TVs, allows guests can check if the pool is free.
Lindeth Howe also boasts an award-winning restaurant, lounge and library.
