Netherwood Hotel

The Netherwood Hotel in Grange-over-Sands enjoys a fantastic setting overlooking Morecambe Bay. Formerly a private residence it has been operated as hotel by the same family since 1965.

The hotel is situated in extensive grounds and boasts an impressive selection of facilities. These include a spa and fitness centre with indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, gym and beauty therapy centre. An air-conditioned restaurant overlooks the Bay and offers a daily changing menu that makes great use of local produce.

32 rooms are available, all with en-suite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, TV, hair dryer, and room service. Most rooms overlook the Bay, while others overlook the gardens or woodland.

Other amenities include a large onsite car park and wireless internet access.

The Netherwood Hotel is non-smoking throughout. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

The hotel makes an excellent base for exploring the Lake District. Bowness (13 miles), Newby Bridge (6 miles) and Hawkshead (15 miles) are all within easy reach.

I wanted an hotel near the train station as we were coming by train and this place was ideal. The grounds were lovely and the facilities excellent. We were also very impressed with the staff who bent over backwards to help you. A very enjoyable stay.

Really felt like we'd hit the jackpot when we stayed here. We got a really good deal to start with, then the room turned out to be excellent with a great view and the staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

We wanted to stay somewhere near the train station so this place was just the job. Our room looked a little dated, but had everything we required and the spectacular view more than made up for that. The breakfast was substantial and the staff were very friendly and polite.

Great location. We had a lovely room overlooking the bay. There are too many facilities to mention eg. pool, jacuzzi, wireless internet access. This is also a great jumping off point for exploring the Lake District. Would recommend.
