Ulverston Lantern Procession
Ulverston is known as the ‘Festival Town’, due to the numerous events and festivals held there each year.
One of the best and most famous is the Ulverston Lantern Procession, held annually in September.
Participants carry illuminated paper lanterns through the town centre, watched by thousands of residents and visitors. The procession finishes with a bonfire and fireworks display at Ford Park.
The parade is a fantastic spectacle and well worth attending.
