South Lakes Wild Animal Park
The award-winning South Lakes Wild Animal Park is widely recognised as one of Europe’s leading conservation zoos.
Situated just outside Dalton-in-Furness and only 4 miles north of Barrow, its 17 acres are the home of animals from around the world including rhinos, giraffes, monkeys, lemurs, emus, kangaroos, penguins, spectacled bears, lemurs, lions and tigers.
Facilities at the zoo include a restaurant with animal viewing deck, gift shop, picnic areas and free car park.
