Peel Leisure and Retail Park
The Peel Leisure and Retail Park is situated on the outskirts of Blackburn town centre, close to Blackburn train station. It is divided into two areas, separated by Lower Audley Street (the A679).
The northern end of the shopping park is accessed from Lower Audley Street. It is home to a Pizza Hut restaurant, Matalan and Staples stores, the Vue Cinema, the Bowlplex ten pin bowling alley, and a DW Sports Fitness gym.
Matalan and Staples are open 7 days a week. Opening times for Staples are 9 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday, and 10.30 am to 4.30 pm on Sunday. Opening hours for Matalan are 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 8 pm Saturday, and 10.30 am to 4 pm on Sunday.
The southern end of the park is accessed from the A6177. Stores here include a large Asda superstore with a petrol station and pharmacy, JYSK (furniture and household goods), B&M Bargains, Halfords, Maplin, and Mothercare.
All stores are open 7 days a week. Asda is open 24 hours from 8 am on Monday to 10 pm on Saturday. On Sundays it opens at 10.30 am and closes at 4.30 pm.
The main leisure attraction here is the Blackburn Ice Arena. There are also several restaurants; Frankie & Benny’s, Chiquito, and Burger King.
Visitors with satellite navigation systems can use the postcode BB1 1AQ to access the northern end of the park (Vue, Bowlplex etc.). For the southern half (Blackburn Ice Arena, Asda, Halfords, Mothercare etc.) use BB2 3DY. Plenty of free customer car parking is available.
