Shops & Shopping Centres in Blackburn

Blackburn town centre is currently undergoing massive changes. One of the biggest is a £66 million extension to the Mall, the town’s main shopping centre. Work started in January 2008 and is due for completion in 2010. Some projects have already been completed, including the Peel Leisure and Retail Park and the renovation of the Exchange Arcade.

Blackburn has a large Asian population and many colourful spice and food shops can be found here, particularly in the Whalley Range area of town. Plans to regenerate this area are also in the pipeline.
