Stanley House
This small, boutique hotel is situated in Mellor, a village a couple of miles to the west of Blackburn. It opened in 2004 and it wasn’t long before the awards started to arrive. These include Small Hotel of the Year at the North West Tourism Awards 2006 and Lancashire Life Restaurant of the Year 2006.
Stanley House is housed in a Grade II listed building, originally the village’s manor house, and offers 12 individually themed rooms. All are en-suite with under floor heating, satellite TV, internet connection and hospitality tray. CASSIS, the hotel’s award-winning restaurant, offers a seasonal changing menu of classic dishes that make full use of local produce. The hotel also offers an extremely comfortable bar and lounge area with a magnificent wood-burning fire.
