Blackpool Attractions & Activities
Blackpool offers a wealth of attractions and activities. The most famous and the reason for much of the town’s success is the Pleasure Beach. The UK’s premier theme parks offers around 150 rides and attracts millions of visitors annually. Major rides include the Pepsi Max Big One, one of the tallest and fastest in Europe, and Valhalla, the world’s biggest water-borne dark ride.
Blackpool Tower is the town’s most recognisable landmark. Take a trip to the top for views as far as the Lake District, enjoy the circus or let the kids loose in the UK’s largest indoor adventure playground.
Take a stroll along the Golden Mile and visit one of the three piers. The North Pier, with its theatre and carousel, is the oldest and most traditional. The Central Pier has a huge wheel, while the South Pier offers adrenaline pumping rides.
On a sunny day visit the wonderful Stanley Park, a horticultural gem around 1 mile from the seafront, and home to Blackpool Zoo and the Model Village. Finally, don’t worry if it rains. The town offers plenty of indoor attractions including the Sea Life Centre and Sandcastle Waterpark.
