Barcelo Blackpool Imperial Hotel

The Imperial Hotel is arguably Blackpool’s most famous and best looking hotel. Being the home of major political party conferences for many years, it is certainly the most prestigious.

The hotel offers 180 bedrooms. All are en-suite and include a direct-dial telephone, writing desk, hospitality tray, trouser press, hairdryer and television.

Facilities at the Bodysense Health & Leisure Club include a 13m swimming pool, sauna, steam room and solarium. The hotel also boasts several restaurants, bars and lounges.

I just wanted to stay here and cross this place off my list. No complaints.

You've got to spend one night in Blackpool's most famous hotel with its conference history and everything else that goes with it. I think its reaching the stage where it needs a bit of modernisation in places, but it's still a class act.

We had always wanted to stay here after visiting Blackpool numerous times. The building is beautiful and the whole experience lived up to our expectations. We even got quite a reasonable rate so we didn't even lose out there. The staff were also very nice and friendly.

Couldn't fault this place, everything was excellent from beginning to end and the staff bent over backwards to help you. Only possible improvement would be to stay here in the conference season and rub shoulders with some of country's big wigs.

Got all the luxury and attention we expected and more from Blackpool's most famous hotel. Had a great room with a sea view and on the one occasion were I had cause to complain I was dealt with quickly, courteously, and efficiently.

The hotel will celebrate its 140th anniversary in June. A £4 million refurbishment project is due for completion in October 2007.

I've just come back from a very enjoyable short break at the Imperial Hotel. It's definately one of Blackpool's better hotels. Service and food in the restaurant were excellent. I'm looking forward to returning in the summer.
