Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club
The Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club is one the most famous golf courses in the world and is one of the nine UK golf courses that host the Open Championship.
The inland links style course was constructed in 1897 and the layout has changed little since then. It features almost 200 bunkers and is one of the only links courses that start with a par 3 hole.
The clubhouse dates back to 1898 and contains many interesting reminders of the club’s great history including a fantastic portrait of Bobby Jones in the upstairs dining room.
The course is open to anybody who can afford the green fees and can produce a suitable handicap certificate (21 for men and boys, 30 for ladies and girls).
