Go Ape – Grizedale Forest Park

The Go Ape course at Grizedale Forest Park is one of company’s most popular adventure courses.

These videos show the Tarzan swing, zip wires, and crossings.

2009 opening times are March 27 to October 31 and weekends throughout November.

Prices are £25 for adults and £20 for children (10 – 17).

Hatters Hostel is a cheap backpackers’ hostel in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

In this video we are shown some of the features including the entrance on Newton Street, lockers, 24-hour reception, common room with internet terminals and pool table, free Wi-Fi, dining area, communal kitchen, TV room/cinema, showers, and one of the rooms.

What are the dates for the Blackpool Illuminations?

The Blackpool Illuminations 2009 will begin on September 4 and run until November 8.

The lights will be switched on by comedian Alan Carr at 9.25 pm on September 4 at a purpose-built stage close to Coral Island on the Golden Mile. He will be joined by Kate Thornton, JLS, Tony Christie, Madness and other celebrities.

Defected Records tour the Southport Weekender event in May 2009.

The Southport Weekender is a music festival held twice a year at Pontins in Southport.

Each 3-day event attracts around 5,000 dance and soul fans. The next event, Southport Weekender 45, will be held November 6 – 8 2009.

The Southport Airshow is the largest aviation show in North West England. The 2009 show will be held September 26 to 27.

This video shows a couple of the sights around Little Langdale in the Lake District (near Ambleside).

Slaters Bridge is an old packhorse bridge that crosses River Brathay as it flows out of Little Langdale Tarn.

Cathedral Quarry is now disused and owned by the National Trust. It features a 40 foot high cave and various tunnels.

The Three Shires Inn is a popular starting point for walks around this area.
