Barrow Bridge Village

This small, picturesque village was created as a model community during the Industrial Revolution. The cotton mills here have long since gone but many of the workers’ cottages still stand and now rank amongst the most sought-after homes in Bolton.

The famous ’63 steps’ that were once trodden by folk on their way to the mills now lead visitors to the West Pennine Moors.
