Mercure Last Drop Village Hotel, Bolton

Despite having the appearance of an authentic village, the Last Drop Village is actually a collection of 18th century farmhouses that have been converted into shops, a conference centre and a pub. The Last Drop Village Hotel, with its extensive leisure and dining facilities, is also found here.

This 4-star hotel is located on the outskirts of Bolton, close to the Pennine Moors, and offers 128 en-suite rooms. All come with satellite TV, radio, direct-dial telephone and tea/coffee making facilities as standard.

Carriages Restaurant offers both prix fixe and a la carte menus, while the Steakhouse offers a selection of char grilled steaks, burgers and seafood.

The Last Drop Village Hotel also boasts extensive leisure and beauty facilities including an 18m pool, 8 beauty treatment rooms, a hydro-pool, laconium, and fully-equipped gym.

Quite a reasonable place for what we paid. The area is lovely and both the leisure facilities and the food in the restaurants were excellent. There was a bit of confusion over one of the rooms, but that was quickly addressed and the staff could not have been more apologetic. We would be glad to return at the price we paid.

Room and food ok. Leisure facilities very good. Happy to go back.

It's still ok here and brilliant value if you get the bargain basement price, but it's beginning to look a little dated in places and will need some work doing in a year or two. Still, the location is beautiful and we had some very nice days out and some excellent meals here at night.

Beautiful setting and superb leisure facilities which I took full advantage of. My room looked a little tired, but the bed was comfortable, and the staff who dealt with me were friendly, efficient, and polite.

Lovely place, easy to get to, with everything at your fingertips in terms of food, drink and entertainment. My room was ok for the money and the only complaint I have is that you had to pay for Wi-Fi.

The Last Drop is a very unusual hotel, but not in a bad way. It's set in an old village (with stocks etc.) and is quite charming. Some of the rooms aren't in the main building but ours wasn't. The room was nice and the hotel also had good leisure facilities (pool, saunas, steam room). I would stay there again and recommend it.
