History
Burnley’s bowling alley first opened in the 1960s but later closed when interest in the sport diminished. The building was used as an MFI store for a while but in 1989, with the popularity of the sport growing again, reopened as Superbowl 2000.
In 1997 the alley was sold to AMF Bowling.
In November 2010 it was sold again, to the Garland Leisure Group, and renamed First Bowl Bowl Burnley.
