Burnley Mechanics
The Burnley Mechanics is the main theatre and music venue in Burnley. It offers a huge variety of events including rock and classical concerts, drama and theatrical performances, comedy, pantomimes, children’s shows and more. Every Easter, it hosts the Burnley National Blues Festival.
The theatre is owned and operated by Burnley Borough Council.

Events and gigs scheduled for 2011 include Dom Joly, Abbanow, Jimmy Tarbuck, Kate Rusby, Dodgy, Phil Cool, Omid Djalili, Cannon and Ball, Derek Acorah, and The Nutcracker.

Capacity and Seating Plan
The stall in front of the stage has 5 rows of seats (A-E) and can accommodate 123 persons. Behind this is the angled tier seating (rows F – X) can hold 370 guests. The total seated capacity is 493.

Box Office & Tickets
The box office is open Monday to Friday, noon to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 12.45 pm. On Sundays it opens 1 hour before performances.
On performance evenings the box office is open until 30 minutes after the show finishes.
Tickets can be purchased online, in person, or by telephone (ticket office number is 01282 664400).
Discounts are available for some shows for carers, the disabled, senior citizens, students, and the unemployed. Proof of eligibility may be required.
Burnley Tourist Information Centre
The theatre now houses the town’s Tourist Information Centre. It was previously located at the bus station.

Burnley Mechanics is located on Manchester Road in Burnley town centre, next to the town hall. Visitors arriving by car and using satellite navigation systems can used the postcode BB11 1BH.
