Padiham

Padiham is a charming market town a couple of miles to the west of Burnley. It dates back to before the Norman Conquest, but grew in importance during the Industrial Revolution. Today, it has a population of around 10,000. Gawthorpe Hall, one of Lancashire’s most impressive stately homes, is nearby.

Bus services run to Burnley, Blackburn and Preston. Padiham train station closed in the 1950s.
