Queen Street Mill is the only surviving steam-powered weaving mill in the world. At the height of the Industrial Revolution the mill housed over 1,100 cotton looms. Just 308 remain today, powered by a magnificent steam engine, Peace, and two Lancashire boilers.

Admission for residents of Burnley and accompanied children is free. All others pay a nominal fee. Visitors using sat nav should noted that the postcode for Queen Street Mill is BB10 2HX.

I went here with school and it was very good. The man here taught us a lot about how the mill worked.
