Rock Triangle Bury

The eastern quarter of Bury town centre known as the Rock Triangle is currently being redeveloped. The £200 million Rock Triangle mixed-use development is expected to be complete in 2009 and will include:

  • 60 shops including a Debenhams store
  • Vue multiplex cinema (replacing the existing cinema at Park 66)
  • 1,000 space multi-storey car park
  • Tenpin bowling alley
  • Numerous cafes and restaurants
  • Medical centre
  • 200 homes

The project is being jointly managed by Bury Council and Thornfield Properties.

As of 08 March 2008, The Rock has been revised and will now be a £330 million spend by Thornfield Developments which will deliver a new health centre, 750,000 square feet of retail and leisure space including a Debenhams, M&S, Vue cinema and ten pin bowling. In addition around 400 apartments and 1250 parking spaces will add a new dimension to town centre living in Bury. The development is now due for completion in Autumn 2010.
