Gilsland

Gilsland is a small isolated village on the border of Cumbria and Northumberland. It lies on Hadrian’s Wall and is just over a mile from Birdoswald Roman Fort.

The Gilsland Spa Hotel is famous for its sulphurous spring and is a popular health resort.
