Ellesmere Port
Ellesmere Port is an industrial town in north Cheshire, on the southern part of the Wirral Peninsula. It developed as a port in the latter half of the 18th century with the opening of the Shropshire Union Canal (and later the Manchester Ship Canal). Today the town is dominated by a Shell oil refinery and a large Vauxhall car factory.
