This is a lovely little inn which is full of character. They do great food and if you like your real ale you've come to the right spot. The room was immaculately clean and the staff were very friendly, helpful and informative.

This is a perfect starting point to explore either the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District. The hotel looked a little tired in places, however the room was serviced daily and the bedding was nice and clean. We also got quite a decent rate which helped.
