It's was so lovely to come back here after a hard day on the fells. The leisure facilities are excellent and particularly relaxing when you think you've earned it. We could not fault the food either, although to be honest it is probably not the cheapest in town. We were also very happy with the friendly and attentive staff.

An outstanding place to stay in my opinion. It's easy to get to by the motorway and the grounds are wonderful. We used it as a jumping off point for a longer trip in the Lake District. The room was very well appointed and the staff courteous and friendly.

I thought the room was a good size. The pool and sauna were exquisite and the changing rooms high quality. The gardens were relaxing and the staff friendly. I'm hopefully visiting again soon and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Greenhouse restaurant is very nice. It has big windows with great views of the countryside and Kendal Castle. Food was pretty good too.
