Museum of Lakeland Life
The Museum of Lakeland Life in Kendal tells the story of the Cumbrian people from the late 18th century until the present day. Exhibits include reconstructions of an Edwardian street and Arthur Ransome’s study.
The museum is situated in the former stables of the Abbot Hall Art Gallery. Both venues are managed by the Lakeland Arts Trust. It’s open throughout the year but closes on Sundays.
