Station Inn

The aptly named Station Inn is just a few minutes walk from Oxenholme train station, the only village station on the West Coast Main Line, and the gateway to the Lake District.

This former farmhouse is now a pub, known for its friendly staff, home-cooked food, and real ales. It also offers accommodation in 7 en-suite bedrooms, all with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A full English breakfast that makes good use of Cumbrian produce is included in the daily rates.

The village of Oxenholme is less than 2 miles from the Kendal town centre.

Good place to stay and very reasonably priced for what you get. Both the room and bathroom were very generously proportioned and tastefully decorated. The food was good and the staff were very helpful and efficient.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. The family room was enormous and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The place is easy to get to and they even have a playground for the kids next to the big car park. It's also handy for Kendal.
