Wainwright's Yard
Wainwright’s Yard is the newest of Kendal’s shopping centres. Named after Alfred Wainwright, a former curator of Kendal Museum and author of the famous Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells, it is home to a number of stores including:
- Booths Supermarket
- Armstrong Ward
- Lakeland Leather
- La Maison
- Lune Chinese Medicine
- Artisan
- I Love Organics
There is also a pleasant public square here with several slate sculptures inscribed with pages from Wainwright’s books.
