Aira Force

Aira Force is undoubtedly the most famous waterfall in the Lake District. The Aira Beck tumbles 70 feet down a rocky ravine before joining with Ullswater.

Stone bridges span the top and bottom of the falls and provide excellent views.

Why take a pushchair anyway , when our children were small we carried them up on our backs.

Spending the day with my girlfriend we stumbled upon the falls. It is the most magical, secret and most beautiful place I've been in the Lakes. It was at this spot I decided I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. So I'm going to ask her to marry me! Wish me luck.

Aira Force is a magical waterfall and well worth visiting! I find it obscure that anyone would visit a waterfall with a pushchair and not expect ascents and descents!
I love the lakes
It is a beautiful spot. But making it suitable for prams would ruin the area. What do you want? A stairlift? Be realistic. It's the Lakes - nature isn't meant to be accomodating. Changing that for our convenience is just silly.

Why would anybody take a pram here! Waterfall, pram, steep hills and craggy areas. You do the maths.

It's a nice waterfall, but not suitable at all for prams. What a nightmare.

Aira Force is such an amazing place. I hold it very close to my heart as it was where I was proposed to! We'll be going again soon, this time with our baby, so I hope we don't have the same problem.

Great place but not really suitable for small children. We went there with our baby and regretted it. The path up to the falls is steep and not suitable for a pushchair.
