The Belsfield Hotel - a Corus Hotel

Everyone knows it needs a refurbishment throughout but the views are 10/10 and so close to the town to walk. An excellent car park. The bar manager needs some customer service skills and some of the waitresses in the restaurant are not so good. I saw all the staff getting their own dinner whilst their guests were on a self service basis.

I agree that this hotel is in need of a bit of a refurb, but at the same time I found it an absolutely charming place to stay. The room was spotless, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the views simply magnificent. Really enjoyed my stay.

I guess most people would say that this place is in need of a bit of TLC and I would agree. That said, however, the room was clean, the staff were very friendly and professional and for location and views it is hard to beat. Still gets the thumbs up from me despite some minor shortcomings.

Picturesque location in one of the most popular areas of the Lakes with everything close by. We stayed in the annexe in a room which had been recently refurbished. Pool to relax in after a hard day's walking and very friendly, hard-working and professional staff.

Superb and well maintained gardens with great views of Windermere. I imagine a lot of people would suggest an extensive refurbishment, but I like it the way it is. Clean, quiet, excellent service. A very pleasant place to stay.

My wife and I plus guide dog Georgie have been staying at the Belsfield every year for the past 8 years and find the views outstanding. The food and staff are A1, all down to the management skills of Mr R Jobson.

I have just come back from a long weekend with other family members. The location was perfect and our rooms with Lakeside views was really beautiful. The hotel itself was tired and needs renovation to bring it back to its former glory. The staff were very helpful and friendly 10 out of 10 there. I think like Ben if I was to return I would try a different hotel. However if the Hotel were renovated I would be back like a shot.
Come on Corus invest some money!

The hotel has a brilliant location with views to die for. The rooms are a little old but staff were extremely nice and helpful. Overall was ok but would probably try somewhere else next time I visit.
