Grasmere

Grasmere is a charming village situated in one of the most picturesque areas of the Lake District. A lake of the same name lies a couple of hundred yards to the south.

The village is dominated by Helm Crag (known locally as the ‘Lion and the Lamb’) and is a popular base for walkers and culture vultures (Wordsworth lived here).

Eve
Wiliams cafe in Grasmere. This is a complete rip off and the manager very unpleasant. I would not part with my cash to be served up tinned soup they refer to as homemade. Oh i forgot to mention there are a few dried sprinkled herbs on the top.
David
The Lake District National Park Authority are currently building a 4 km path around Grasmere lake. It will be accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs and follow the route walked by Wordsworth.
