Glenridding’s Inn on the Lake sits in 15 acres of gardens that sweep down to the shore of Ullswater. The hotel offers 46 en-suite bedrooms, each with tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, direct dial telephone and satellite TV. Most enjoy great views of either Helvellyn or the lake.

Leisure facilities include a gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, solarium, pitch and putt golf course and croquet lawn.

The Lake View Restaurant enjoys stunning views of the lake and serves lunch and dinner. Menus change daily and emphasise local produce. The Ramblers Bar offers traditional pub meals and local real ale.

We held our wedding there in the spring of 2008. It's a wonderful hotel with a stunning location. We were only a small wedding party but the staff and management could not have done any more for us in order to make it a very very special day.

Must be one of the most stunning locations in the Lake District, even by Lake District standards. There are some great walks on your doorstep and when you come back there's an excellent range of food and drink and great leisure facilities. Couldn't be better!

It looked even better in real life than the photos. The room could have been a wee bit bigger, although it was spotlessly clean, but that aside everything was as expected and better. I know everyone says it, but the views are simply stunning.

The setting of this place and the views are absolutely magnificent. There are lots of good walks on your doorstep and good leisure facilities when you return, eg. gym and jacuzzi. The food is ok and there is a good bar that does real ale.

This is a superb place to stay if you like spectacular views and grounds that go all the way down to one of the lakes. We paid a few pounds extra for a room with a lake view and thought it was worth every penny. The staff were nice and tried their best to help you.

I've never stayed here, but have had drink at the bar. The setting of the hotel is absolutely fantastic. The grounds go right down to the water's edge.
