Lakeland Sheep & Wool Centre
The Lakeland Sheep and Wool Centre offers visitors the chance interact with Cumbria’s most famous residents; its sheep. An indoor presentation in a custom-built 300-seat arena features 19 breeds of sheep, cattle, plus sheep-sheering and working dog demonstrations.
A large gift shop stocks sheepskins, woollens, toys, books, maps, and more.
The centre is located 1 mile south of Cockermouth. Showtimes are 10.30 am, noon, 2 pm and 3 pm, Sunday to Thursday, between March and October.
Accommodation is available next to the centre at the Shepherds Hotel.
