Landing Cottage Guest House

This small guest house is situated at Lakeside, close to the shores of Windermere. Here you’ll find the Lakes Aquarium , the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway and Windermere Lake Cruises.

The house is built in 1875 from Lakeland stone and offers 5 rooms, 2 of which are en-suite.

It brought back a few memories staying here as it's quite old fashioned with some shared facilities. However, this is reflected in the excellent price and the owner could not be more friendly and helpful. We would have no hesitation in staying again.

I loved staying here as it offered everything that we wanted. We were only a couple of minutes from the lake and it was so quiet at night. There's a fantastic little steam railway nearby as well. The owner is very friendly and provides very good value for money.
