Mirehouse
This stately home lies between Bassenthwaite Lake and Dodd Wood and is the home of the Spedding family. They graciously open it doors to the public during the summer (April 1st – October 31st, Wednesday & Sunday, 2 – 5 pm).
The grounds, which include children’s adventure playgrounds, woods, a bee garden and a wildflower meadow, are open daily throughout the summer (10 am – 5.30 pm).
