Moss Grove Organic Hotel

The Moss Grove Hotel reopened in 2006 following extensive environmentally-friendly renovations that utilised natural products such as organic clay paints and insulation made from sheep fleece.

It offers 11 bedrooms that include modern amenities such as flat screen TV’s, Bose entertainment systems and broadband internet connections. Furnishings are unique to each room and have been made from reclaimed timber.

The hotel is situated in the centre of Grasmere.

I found the location of this place to be ideal and the facilities better than I could ever have imagined - flat screen TV, high speed internet, massive bed with crisp clean linens. The staff were also extremely welcoming and they provided us with a very substantial breakfast which set us up for the day. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Certainly the place to stay if you are a keen environmentalist as they use many natural products and reclaimed timbers as the name implies. The room was immaculately clean and the bathroom was huge which made a nice change from the cramped ones that you often get. The staff were also very friendly and attentive.

Certainly one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Everything was total quality. We particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi bath after a hard day's exploring. The staff were first rate.

Luxurious rooms which have all been recently renovated. Each one has a flat screen TV and broadband internet connection. Nice organic theme as well for the environmentally friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere and courteous and helpful staff.

This is a marvellous find! Luxury rooms, friendly staff and a simply fantastic breakfast. Have dinner at the Jumble Room. They serve quality food.

Nice place but be warned that it doesn't have its own restaurant. Don't forget to book a table at one of the restaurants in the village.

More expensive than my usual choice in Grasmere but didn't regret staying here. The hotel has a great location in the centre of the village. Rooms were well furnished and the bathroom simply fantastic. I'm pleased to see an environmentally friendly hotel doing so well. Keep it up.
