The Oakbank House Hotel is located in the centre of Bowness and is the only 5-diamond rated property in the town.

All 12 rooms are individually designed and offer en-suite bathroom, TV, DVD player, tea/coffee making facilities, radio alarm clock, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Most have stunning views of Windermere.

The hearty breakfasts here alone are worth the nightly rate.

The location is ideal and they have excellent leisure facilities. The room had a superb view and was very well appointed. The staff were friendly and only too happy to offer useful suggestions. We would have preferred a later check out time than 11am, but that is all we could find fault with.

This hotel is ideal for anyone who wants to be where the action is, as it's very near the centre of Bowness. Our room also had a spectacular view of the lake and the fells beyond. Plenty of gadgets in the room including a DVD player and the staff are helpful and informative.

This is one of my favourite hotels in the Lake District. It's right in the centre of Bowness and just a few minutes walk from the Windermere.
Rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast extensive. Guests also get use of the leisure facilities at a nearby hotel.
