Grasmere Red Lion Hotel

The Grasmere Red Lion Hotel is a traditional inn with many modern amenities.

All 47 bedrooms are en-suite and include bath and power shower, satellite TV, direct dial telephone with modem, hairdryer and trouser press. Many of the rooms also have a Jacuzzi.

The hotel has its own leisure centre with indoor heated swimming pool, mini-gym, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi and changing rooms with power showers.

Have stayed at this hotel on two occasions and found it to be very friendly and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was good value for money and nothing was too much trouble for the dining staff.
Will hopefully spend a weekend there again soon as it now feels like 'an old pair of slippers' - very comfortable.

I liked this hotel very much. The pool and other facilities were great but it was a bit pricey.

Hotel service was fine, spa, etc. was very good. The prices though were verging on robbery at £9 for a bar meal consisting of a Yorkshire pudding, slice of beef and a couple of pieces of veg. The pub boasts real ale, however the garbage I tried, billed as extra cold lager was anything but extra cold. In fact it was tepid and at almost £3 a pint was extortionate for a village pub.
