Ruskin Museum

The Ruskin Museum was set up in 1901 as a tribute to John Ruskin. His friend, WG Collingwood, a local artist, founded it.

The museum was recently extended, thanks to a National Lottery grant, and explores Coniston’s history, geology and economy. There is also a display dedicated to Donald Campbell and his attempt to break the world water speed record.
