This is what visiting the Lakes is all about for my money. Peace and quiet and spectacular scenery on your door step. Nice room, good food and beer, and friendly and helpful staff rounded the whole experience off quite nicely.

This is what I would describe as a typical walker's place. Real ale, good food, log fire and a clean and comfortable room. Everything you need after a hard day on the fells. Exactly what we wanted; peace, quiet and relaxation.

Good choice of beers here - Hawkshead Bitter, Jennings etc. Nice and quiet too, with plenty of good places to walk nearby.
