The Travellers Rest Inn

Just one mile north of Grasmere village, the Traveller’s Rest is a popular country pub that also offers accommodation. Eight individually furnished rooms are available, all with an en-suite bathroom, TV and hospitality tray. All have views of the surrounding countryside.

The bar and restaurant offer a good selection of real ales and a menu that makes good use of local produce.

The Traveller’s Rest is a non-smoking hotel and does not accept children.

This is an ideal place from which to explore the Lakeland fells and a great place to come back to for your food and beer, especially on a cold day when you can sit in front of the cosy log fire. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was comfortable and full of character.

Great place to stay, bursting with charm and character with its oak beams and other features. The room could've been a bit bigger, but it was nicely furnished and everything was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed having a pint here as the beer is excellent.

Charming pub with plenty of character. Nice location and cheerful staff. Room was a bit on the small side, but overall very pleased.
