Ullswater

Measuring over 9 miles in length, Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District and is regarded by many as its most beautiful. The villages of Pooley Bridge and Glenridding lie at its northern and southern extremities.

The best way to see the lake is by taking a cruise with Ullswater Steamers.

Visitors can call in at the Ullswater Tourist Information Centre in Glenridding to obtain travel and tourism advice, and stock up on leaflets and guides.

Brackenrigg Inn Ullswater. It was very difficult to gain access to the hotel with a wheelchair. Food service was appallingly slow. Poor value at £125.00 per night.

March 08 - Food at the Pooley Bridge Inn was poor and microwaved to death and the Brackenridge Inn served raw chicken to my son. I'm very disappointed with the pub food available in Ullswater.
