The Ashton

This boutique hotel opened in July 2008 and is situated in a Georgian manor house on the doorstep of Lancaster’s Williamson Park. Managed by former TV director James Gray it features just 5 bedrooms and offers a high level of personal service not found in larger properties.

Each room is unique, but all feature a king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom, flat screen TV and DVD player. Facilities at the Ashton hotel include wireless internet access, a car park, and gardens. A cooked breakfast, made with locally-sourced produce, is included in the daily rate.

This would be a bit of a treat for most people, but there is nothing wrong with that and in my opinion it is worth every penny. Flat screen TV, DVD player, Wi-Fi, easy parking, nice gardens and delicious locally sourced fresh produce. It's hard to find fault with any of it really. The service is also superb and makes you feel really special.

This is a superb place to stay which I think now sets a new standard in Lancaster. It has been decorated to an extremely high standard and everything about it from the fixtures and fittings to the food and service indicates class.
