The Mill Inn

Converted from an old grain Mill in the early nineties, this unique property is now a small hotel offering 15 rooms.

Each room in individually furnished and offers an en-suite bathroom, Sky TV, broadband internet access, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

Facilities here include a restaurant, popular bar serving a good variety of real ales, gardens and a children’s playground.

The hotel enjoys a charming countryside location, overlooking the Lancaster Canal, close to the fishing village of Glasson and 4 miles south of Lancaster. The Mill Inn is also a great choice for visitors to Lancaster University, located approximately 3 miles from the hotel.

This is a gorgeous location and what I particularly liked about it was that at night it was so peaceful, and yet you are only 3 miles or so from the hustle and bustle of Lancaster. The room was immaculate and for the serious beer drinker there is an excellent choice of real ales. It didn't break the bank either.

This is a lovely place to stay on the canal and very handy for either Lancaster or the university. The room was spotless and I was very impressed by their fine selection of beers. The staff were also very friendly and approachable and contributed to a wonderful experience.

Nice enough place for the money. Good food and even better beer, which did the trick for me. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the room was clean and met all our requirements.

Good facilities including broadband internet access and pretty handy for the university. We had a really nice room in a beautiful spot and the staff couldn't do enough for us, they were really friendly and accommodating.
