Britannia Adelphi Hotel

This famous hotel dates from 1912 and was built to accommodate the cruise passengers departing from Liverpool's Albert Dock.

With over 400 rooms, the Britannia Adelphi is the largest hotel in Liverpool. It offers plenty of places to eat and drink including Friday's Bar, Jenny's Carvery and Crompton's French Restaurant. The hotel also has a health club with a white marble swimming pool.

The hotel is close to Liverpool’s main shopping district, Lime Street Station and most attractions in the city.

I read some unfavourable reviews about this place before I decided to come and have a look for myself and I don't know what all the fuss is about. The staff were lovely and the room had everything in it that I required and more. I would stay again for sure.

We came to Liverpool by train so this turned out to be an ideal place to stay. The place could do with a bit of work on it, but if you're not too particular and just think about the practicalities of staying in Liverpool it's a pretty good bet.

Unbeatable location for virtually everything. The hotel is getting on a bit, but it had a lovely atmosphere. Absolutely no complaints about the standard of cleanliness though and everyone was helpful and efficient.

Everything under one roof in this place, even has a swimming pool. Ideal location for shopping and Lime Street Station. Lovely old fashioned look inside. My room was cleaned to a high standard and the reception staff were extremely efficient.

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Rooms are dated but you get what you pay for. The location is great. I would recommend this hotel to anybody on a night out in Liverpool who isn't planning on spending too much time in their room.
