Beatles Story

The Beatles Story is an award-winning attraction that tells the story of the world’s most famous pop group. The exhibition is divided into 18 different features, from their early days in Hamburg to their break-up and subsequent solo careers.

Particularly impressive are full-size replicas of the Cavern Club, the Abbey Road studios and The White Room.

The Beatles Story is located in Liverpool’s Albert Dock.

March 2008 - Merseytravel, Liverpool’s local transport authority, has purchased the Beatles Story at Albert Dock from a group of private investors. In February they also revealed they would be opening a second Beatles Story at the Pier Head ferry terminal.

The Beatles Story has announced a major expansion programme that will see existing floor space double in time for the European Capital of Culture 2008. The plans include new rooms celebrating the solo careers of George and Ringo, interactive children’s learning centre, a temporary exhibition space, and a new café.

You can also visit Mendips, the childhood home of John Lennon and 20 Forthlin Road, childhood home of Paul McCartney. Both properties are owned by the National Trust. The only way to view these properties is to join one of their guided minibus tours, departing from Liverpool city centre.
