I booked the Dolby for two friends from Taiwan and Spain because reviews of a cheaper hotel nearby had persuaded me that paying the extra would be worth it. And so it proved. Ideal location for visiting the Albert Dock and Liverpool One retailers. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Willing to store luggage if you arrive before check-in time of 2.30 pm. Apparently the room my friends stayed in was very good and they have some brilliant photos of the River Mersey taken from their room. A McDonalds nearby is also useful late at night. A double room is great value and you could possibly cover the cost with a trip to the casino just down the road! Highly recommended. Also, you can cut costs by visiting all the free galleries and exhibitions around the Albert Dock. Some of the paying ones are a bit pricey but if you're just after a taste, take your photos just inside the entrances e.g. a life-size wall mural of John, Paul, George and Ringo just down the steps of the Beatles Exhibition before you reach the cashier's desk; or in the foyer of the Tate Gallery. A trip on a ferry can be expensive off-peak as they run cruises then, but if tou go during the morning or evening commuter rush it's a fraction of the price. A return ticket will take you over to Birkenhead and back. If you visit the Anglican Cathedral don't miss out on walking through the garden/cemetery at the back.

A little gem of a place and somewhere that I will definitely be going back to. The people were so friendly and helpful and for the money you just couldn't beat it. The free parking was yet another unexpected bonus.

The location was excellent and parking was free, which saved us some money right away. The room had a lovely view of the river and the staff were some of the friendliest that I have ever encountered and often exhibited that famous Scouse wit, which went down well with me.

Easy to get to, easy to park and great value. What more do you want?

This is a cracking little place, cheap and very cheerful, but with nothing sacrificed in quality. You can do virtually everything on foot from here and even park your car for free - that's something you don't always get in a city. The staff were great and the breakfast was excellent.

You get the best of both world's in this hotel, a great location on the waterfront and a very competitive price. We even got a room overlooking the docks and the staff were really helpful and efficient. Would definitely stay again.
PS
Excellent location in a very attractive area on the waterfront with free parking to boot. Great little beer garden overlooking the docks and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely location on the waterfront and within easy reach of everything we needed and at a very affordable price. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.
