Elude Bar & Restaurant

A former potato warehouse in Liverpool’s docklands is the last place you’d expect to find an upmarket eatery. But wander around this gritty urban setting and you’ll find the suitably named Elude, a restaurant that is rapidly gaining favour with Liverpool’s sophisticated diners.

Upstairs the restaurant is grand and spacious. Large tables are set with white linen with candles and stunning flower arrangements. Downstairs, a spacious bar area with low sofas, candles and curtains, serves a wide selection of champagnes, fine wines and spirits.  This is also open to non-diners until 2am on weekends.

Not impressed with Elude. Food over priced and dissapointing will never be back!
Ben
Not really impressed. Lovely decor, but the main courses were pub food quality.

We visited Elude last Sunday and were very impressed. The 3-course meal for £12.95 is excellent value. I'd recommend the Crispy Bannard Duck for starters and the Roast Rib of Beef for a main (accompanying Yorkshire pudding was very tasty). The restaurant has a very nice relaxed atmosphere. Parking outside is no problem. Plus the manager/owner David is a very nice and approachable guy.

I felt as though I had discovered a “hidden gem” when I first stumbled across this restaurant. We were spoilt for choice when it came to the food but in the end, I opted for the scallops , which were presented beautifully, followed by the sea bass. The sea bass was served whole and I was amazed at both the size and the way it had been cooked.
