Malmaison Liverpool

Liverpool’s Malmaison Hotel opened at the end of January 2007 with a celebrity bash attended by a host of stars including Chris Moyles, Linford Christie and Alan Hansen.

The purpose-built £14m hotel at Princes Dock offers 128 ultra stylish bedrooms, 2 suites, a gym and 5 meeting rooms.  The hotel’s brasserie only uses local produce and serves up dishes such as Southport Potted Shrimps and Cains Beer Battered Fish and Chips. A unique feature is the chef’s table; a private glass-walled room within the kitchen itself.

The room was very comfortable and extremely well equipped. Great flat screen TV and DVD player meant no need to worry about being bored on a rainy day. The safe was also a nice feature which you don't always get. Service was great and we slept very soundly, didn't hear a sound.

Very cosy and a great late night bar if you can't sleep.

I think we got lucky when we stayed here, at least in the room we got which had a lovely view of the Mersey. The rest of it was also very good in terms of cleanliness and comfort and all that at a bargain price.

I read some pretty good reviews about this hotel and decided to come and see for myself. I was not disappointed and it really lived up to expectations. I don't think it's that old judging by its appearance and they really seemed to have thought of everything. Well done.

I had an excellent stay in this hotel. The room was clean, spacious and modern, the location was great and the staff couldn't do enough for you. On top of that the food was excellent and your couldn't hear a thing at night. They must have soundproofed the room really well. Great place.

Superb location on the dock. We even got an upgrade. Quite unusual decor in our room, black and orange. Friendly and polite staff.

This place was a breath of fresh air and exceeded all my expectations. Great bath and shower, very comfortable bed, and housekeepers who were more than willing to help when I needed assistance.

This is a great hotel with good service and excellent rooms with modern amenities like flat screen TVs and DVD players. Restaurant is also worth visiting, as it the bar (great cocktails). Get a room with a view of the Mersey if you can.
